    i've been renting the same apartment now for a year and a half, and have no intention of moving. however my question is how long does my landlord hold onto my deposit for?
    i've been told that you are entitled to your deposit back after 1 year if you sign a new contract for another year, does anyone know if this is true?

    sorry if this has been answered before, i did look but couldn't find an answer...

    I doubt very much you would get back, until you decide to move on, as the deposit is meant to be used for repairs, that may be needed.
