Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

He was unlucky there in fairness.

Given this football thing isn't working out for Micah Richards, maybe he should take up boxing? Seems more like his calling. And Manchester have room for a contender now that Hatton has been exposed as a beaten docket.

Should take Dunne off to prevent a red. Last thing we need.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Robinho has been 100% pure cash money this half.

Swap him for another attacker. All out attack hasn't got the job done (unluckily it must be said), so might as well go Nuclear.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but who's Phil?

The ref was in other words saying, make sure your manager takes you off at half time, and try do nothing until then!

He has to be taken off

Simple solution - Dunne off, Kompany to centre half, Petrov on on the left, Robby to the right, Elano more central.

Is that sarcasm? Sounds like a Martin O'Neill substitution.

Seeing the repeat I have to say that was no penalty. Lucky for City.

Good first half. Hamburg not sitting back and trying to play as well. Nice to see.

I think City won't be able to make it through.

Thats a lot of changes i'd imagine hughes would prefer to just make one

Deadly serious. Dunne has to come off before he's sent off, we don't need two defensive midfielders, Kompany is naturally a centre half, Petrov can provide service for Caicedo, Elano is better in the centre.....I fail to see the problem.

No problem, it's just not a simple solution like you said. Could disrupt the team a little bit causing them to concede in the first 10 minutes while they settle down.

This will require a Liverpool-style fightback though and at least Liverpool have a defense!

God no they will have to be better than that, Liverpool went out. ;)

Thats a lot of changes i'd imagine hughes would prefer to just make one

Subs: Hart, Garrido, Petrov, Fernandes, Evans, Sturridge, Logan.

Defensively all we have is full backs so a straight swap isn't an option.

I was thinking Dunne should be taken off as well. I counted two tackles that another ref might have given him a second yellow for. He's really pushing his luck.

    wow, cheap shot :pac:

if robinho and elano keep playing like this, and ireland gets his act together properly, this could still swing City's way. still very long odds for me though.

Again lucky for city, as the initial pass was clearly offside...

For a fella who looks like he plays without thinking too much, that was a great shift of the ball and a great finish,

A few mins before he looked like a dog running after a ball and turning around to see where it was!

Game on, and the wind well and truely in the sails.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 40,909 ✭✭✭✭Xavi6

What a superb finish from the young lad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Properly on now. 40 minutes to get a goal when ye have all the play and your tails in the air...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

Nice assist from Supes. That'll do.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,369 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

I thought ireland was doing pretty well great touch

my comments were merely to highlight that he could do a lot better, not that he'd been bad by any means. just not top, top notch. but this half he's been great so far.

the crowd is playing a major part in this.

Great position for a free kick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,326 ✭✭✭✭ctrl-alt-delete

City really do play some fantastic football at times!

1 more goal and they will go on to win it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,407 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

Wow, if City don't go through in the end they'll be feeling very unlucky indeed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,630 ✭✭✭✭Mr.Nice Guy

City playing some good stuff at the minute.

Hamburg need to pick themselves up or you can see City winning this without extra time. Playing very well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,910 ✭✭✭✭whatawaster

Hamburg look like they packed the wrong shorts and socks
