    It really is mind boggling just how tiny we are. Seeing pictures like these makes me wish we knew more about the other stars and galaxies in space but unfortunately for us we may never know anything more about them.

    well sadly here in Ireland, Canis Majoris rarely makes it over the southern horizon.

    But if it did go supernova.. at 4.5k light years, we would most certainly see it yes. For about 4/5 weeks it would be, by far, the brightest object in our night sky and even visible during daylight.
