3G O2 and a G1 mobile + surfing the web

    hey was wondering what do i need to do the get super fast internet speeds on the phone i rang O2 and asked them for a sim card upgrade they said i had a 32kb sim card and that they would send me out a 64kb one....


    Say it aint to that ill be surfing/downloading with a 64k speed of which i dont know how it is broken up to upload/download speeds

    Also does anyone know how to set up the GPRS on this ?

    I'm assuming your internet is setup already. If it's not get the settings here

    You don't really need to do anything other than make sure 3G / UMTS / Dual mode is enabled on your device and that you're in a 3G / HSDPA area.

    The 32k or 64k SIM is based on the SIM itself, not what speed it supports data transfer at.

    For mms:
    Name: O2 MMS
    APN: wap.dol.ie
    Proxy: 62.40.32.40
    Port: 8080
    Username: user
    Password:user
    Server: none
    MMSC: http://mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002
    MMS proxy: 62.40.32.40
    MMS port: 8080
    MCC: 272
    MNC: 02
    APN Type: None

    For wap:

    Name: O2 WAP
    APN: wap.dol.ie
    Proxy: 62.40.32.40
    Port: 8080
    Username: user
    Password:user
    Server: http://www.o2.ie
    MMSC: none
    MMS proxy: none
    MMS port: none
    MCC: 272
    MNC: 02
    APN Type: None
