this ones a strange one alright. we have corluka with hutton as back up and gunter coming through so a waste of 5 million really.

i thought he was alright defender who can play at left and centre back, works well with the midfielder in front of him and has a decent cross too.
at the time, king was out, woodgate was out, dawson and corluka was playin centre back with zokora in right back! better than signin back paul stalteri or someone imo at the time

Just think Harry likes him - he's fairly versitle and can fill in anywhere across the back 4.

Would it be plausible to say he'll be gone in the summer? :pac:

Off topic* any one care to share their thoughts on whether bentley will be there?

He's woeful at left back, but he can do a job in the centre.

I think he was brought back to give us some extra cover at a time when we weren't certain about the fitness of King and Hutton, plus we still had the prospect of further games in Europe. Best still (from the financial side) he cost us next to nothing, as Sunderland still owed us from the the summer transfers, and he knew the club and players so settling in wasn't going to be a problem.

I think he'll move on in the summer.
