Buying an iPhone with O2?

    Hello.
I was thinking of buying an iPhone from O2 since I got some money for my birthday but never spent all of it (€65 left)
I was looking on the O2 site and the cheapest option is €49 on billpay.
I couldnt be arsed to spend €400 or so on it.
Im currently on Meteor with a crap Nokia phone my dad gave me when he upgraded. I never use my phone.
I was wondering if, since I never use my phone, that maybe I could get a billpay SIM card and only pay for whatever services I use.

    EDIT: Price plan
    18 month Plans
    iPhone 700

    Monthly charge
€100 (I never use a phone for calling/texting so would I have to pay it?)

    Anytime minutes included
    700

    Free Texts
    250

    Data Allowance
1GB (Same for all price plans)

    iPhone Cost
    €49

So you want an iPhone for the cost of the highest price plan, but don't want to pay the monthly charges?

I'm afraid that would be a bit too good to be true! If you sign up for an 18 month contract, you'll have to pay the agreed price for 18 months regardless of what you do/don't use. O2 are able to sell the phone for €49 because they know they're going to recoup the cost of the phone within the monthly charges.

No, I was wondering if there was any way that I could only pay for what I use?

Unfortunately not, it's all set rates for the length of the contract.

If you hardly use your phone why not get an ipod touch? - just save up a bit for it. That'll save money in the ong run because you won't have to pay monthly charges that you're not using.,

You could always try the iPhone for a fiver option if you can get ten new o2 customers.
