    Hello all

I hope someone can help me with this.

I am looking for some video editing software which will allow me to -

Edit the video, such as add music, or dub some speech over a scene.
Show a different scene (should as a clip of something) while the speech from the previous scene continues.
Replace the background (assuming I use a green screen).
Add some text (font and style defined by me) over parts of a scene, such as displaying someone's name.
Blur part of the video, e.g. blur a logo on someone's t-shirt.

    Any advice appreciated!

    Thanks

PS The software shouldn't be too expensive

Are you using a PC or Mac? Because as far as I know they both come with video software......imovie on a Mac and I think they have moviemaker for the PC.

Thanks for the reply. I'm using a PC, but movie maker is too unprofessional - it makes everything look a bit cheap.

I am looking for something which makes things look 'professional'.

I've just noticed there is a video editing forum - this should probably be there!

from what you have described...id go for sony vegas ...good all round editing package that is easy enough to get used to compared to say avid or adobe premier which i found too comprehensive for my needs....

if you are stuck for cash i would also have a look at magix movie edit pro...

you really should ask this question in audio/video editing board...you'll get more answers...
