Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

You must be watching a different game to me. All I saw was Liverpool dominating possession and the flow of the game, and creating chances. With the crowd behind them.

Yeah, it was against the run of play. I just meant that i could feel the Arsenal goal coming myself. The fans were booing the ref's decisions and i just felt that Arsenal would enjoy all that cos there's no pressure on them tonight so they can enjoy this. I just felt a goal was coming for Arsenal.
Have a bad feeling about this game!

Wenger should go for a more defensive approach and hold onto this lead......... and pigs will fly.
I don't think so, I mean, even defensively I don't think a 1 goal lead is enough. Maybe switch to a more defensive approach when we get the 2nd.

You called it a great goal. A great goal is one you talk about at the office watercooler tomorrow and possibly tell your grandkids about in years to come. That was not one of those goals. It was a competent goal resulting from a bad defensive mistake.

So you've finished nitpicking at the goal now you've moved on to nitpicking at the word i used to describe it,

To answer, and i'll say no more to you after this,

I wouldn't call Ronaldo's goal against Porto a great goal, i have other words i use to describe a goal like that. The English language is vast, with a huge amount of superlatives, think above greatness at time ;)

Will Gerrard get his place back from Benayoun??

I wouldn't say Arsenal have been 'battered'. Liverpool have dominated the possession but its not reflected in clear-cut chances.

Don't think Liverpool were that dominant in the first half. Can only remember them cutting through Arsenals defence once really. Most of their shots have been from outside the box with Fabianski saving pretty comfortably.

Well, that's like your opinion and stuff man.

They have had several more prolonged periods of pressure on the Arsenal goal than Arsenal have had on theirs though.

Jaysus I have to say Arsenal are great to watch, one of the few times I cheer them on.

Song has been very impressive as has Nasri in fits and starts. Bendtner has been horrible. Fabregas seems to be playing too far forward and is missed in midfield, althought he set the goal up beautifully.

Silvestre is actually playing a stormer while Toure looks very dodgy.

Cant see Arsenal keeping Liverpool out but then again I can see them scoring again on the break, especially if Walcott comes on. The game is really set up for him now.

It sure is. And it's probably the main reason why i posted them on this here discussion board which is a platform for ordinary men like me to voice their opinion. Cracking concept really.

Happy enough with that half. Liverpool clearly on top but it was a well taken goal, just before i was thinking that Arshavin was gonna pop up and score with him being so quiet.

Fabianski has done very well and you can see what Wenger says about his talent. Clearly he's not experienced enough yet and has his dodgy moments but he'll learn to be more composed with time.

Otherwise Song has done fairly well along with Nasri and Gibbs. Benayoun has been excellent for liverpool, like a slightly more shooty Hleb when in form:p

Really enjoying my time as an honourary Gooner this evening. Sadly, can't see that defence of theirs holding out. Would love Silvestre to grab the winner.

Not confident Arsenal will hold on here.

Silvestre is extremely prone to a complete clanger every game.

Onus on Liverpool but in front of the kop I reckon they'll do it.

Gutted I did not get to the game. Had a ticket but I had to work late (fnckers) so gave it away. Hopefully we get the win, saw none of the game so far so having read the team I have no idea how the game is going.

And what a time to start typing. Get in there Torrres.

Good goal against the run of play, Fabianski has made a couple of good saves. Now if Arsenal can hold on for the next 20 minutes or so and then get Walcott and Vela to close out the game.

Edit: Or not. Obviously my stream is a bit behind the live coverage. :(

I knew Pool would score there after Sagna's awful clearance.

It's time for Bendtner to walk off the pitch and ask Eduardo to replace him.
