    Its great to see that Sligo is hosting the All Ireland Metal Man Triathlon again this year...Let me know what you think or if you have done any of the Events from 1984-1994

    Haven't done them myself but have heard enough about "Sligo" from Corcoran and the likes! Sounds like it should be good.

    it should be good hopefully the weather will be kind...its not the half ironman though just Olympic hopefully the half ironman will return at some stage...I was looking at the website and was on the history page it brought back some memories I was only a child then..r u going to venture it this year?

    Nah - too soon after Austria. Will be kicking back and binge eating and drinking about then :)

    Real history in the event and the venue.

    I've done some of them in the nineties, the scenery alone makes it worthwhile. The organisers did a try athlon in September and if this event is as well organised as that was it will be a massive success.

    I'm training for it at the moment can't wait.

    Got to declare my interest here I'm a member of the club organising it, the club website has entry links if anyone's interested in taking part. There are still places available.
