but its not a ligit mma move, there is no pressure at all on it,its as useless of a submission hold as a wristlock, bring back the dragon sleeper, now thats a move you can make someone pass out from or if hes going to use hells gate,he shhouldve kept it the way he first used as a tri-angel choke which its supposed to b a reverse of,what about an arm bar,why doesnt he use that since hes a big mma fan????

Lol, most submission holds don't legitimately hurt... think walls of jericho or the ankle lock for example.

your right gravestone, ive heard it aswell plus you here bout how people are been treated at trainin sessions,i no its hard to get a break in the biz of wrestling but there are ways but you need to find someone who will show you respect awell as you showin them respect, its like taker for what hes done in the world of wrestling people do show him respect, its like people before him like andre the giant, hulk hogan, ric flair just to name but a few

By the way a bunch of lads from, Drogheda, yes i know you, ganging up on someone coz he disagrees with their point and are deperate to have the last word in some sort of self imagined Keyboard battle of supremacy is hardly in the spirit of the charter either. Thanks to Rampage1 and littleman for making valid points instead of desperate attempts to sound knowledgable about the business like certain others and discredit those who disagree with their, in all fairness, heavily biased points, given that they are actual Taker & Kane marks.

Enough of your cryptic posts and just say what your on about?

There are only (to the best of my knowledge) 2 guys from drogheda on this forum.

    Me and KKV.

If you wanted to bring the thread off topic, well done, you achieved that.
If you want to cause an argument and get me rilled up so i'm the one that gets banned, im sorry dude but i know your game.

Expect a PM from me shortly... ;)

Well comic book guy, so you think i'm the one who brought the thread off topic? I refer you back to KKV's question "who are you?" and then gravetone's follow up, only then did i volunteer my cryptic reply. I'm not the one who brought the thread off topic. I'm not an "internet guy" but i have found that when people like yourself get frustrated being wrong or disagreed with, they start this "off topic" and calling for people to be banned, akin to "telling the teacher on me" when you're the one who "started it", also, getting a PM? I know what that is but i don't know what you're inferring by it.

Secondly i am not littleman, no offense to him but i know how to use caps and punctuation.

And thirdly i'm disappointed that you would quote an old post and accuse me of trying to get you banned (thus ironically trying to get me banned) when in my very last post directed at you i told you i liked your last post and that i was a fan of Kane's, which was clearly an olive branch on my part. There's no need for this conflict to proceed any further, i was honestly trying to make peace with you.

Just to keep this on topic, i would like to see Taker revert to the Badass persona at this point then he could borrow as much mma isms if you will as he likes. He could even do like a Great Muta type deal where he only wrestles as the Deadman on special occasions, like an alter ego, what do you guys think?

we can cancel out the rest of that post..

That would make no sense. He couldnt switch regularly. Once was pushing his character enough.

Secondly, he's going to borrow "mma-isms" as much as he wants, regardless of who bitches about him doing so. His backstage sway is high enough for him to really do as he pleases. (as was mentioned before in this thread)

Muta does it all the time and it works.

Secondly i'm fully aware of his stroke, my point was never that he couldn't borrow from mma, merely that he shouldn't, in my opinion.

    Taker isn't Muta though.

They couldnt just switch now suddenly. Also, how many times would you envisage him swutching character before he retires??

    you said
"I would like to see Taker revert to the Badass persona at this point then he could borrow as much mma isms if you will as he likes"

As if him not reverting would mean he couldnt.

I was referring to an earlier post when someone said that the mma gimmick suited the badass Taker, therefore going back to that gimmick would mean he "could" do it and it wouldn't interfere with his deadman gimmick which in my earlier posts i stated that i thought it did.

Apologies for the confusion, my fault.

Also i just read the "who is priceless" thread and i'm certainly not intending to spam any threads, i just sent comic book guy a PM telling him i felt he was baiting me into an arguement by belittling my "being in the business" as he put it. i had nothing bad to say about anyone before that comment.

I have asked him and perhaps i should ask anyone else who thinks i'm trolling or whatever if we can bury the hatchet, i'm genuinely only on here to participate in a discussion.

I only stated that i was in the business, which i am, to back up a point i was making.

    Friends???

i just had a read of the charter, which i should have at the start and would like to apologise to anyone who felt attacked by me and i invite anyone who feels they may have attacked me to reciprocate. Thanks guys. Sorry Shawn.

o ok that makes a lot more sense, his posts can be difficult to read same with that "other poster" that wants to know his identity.

sorry for making this thread go even more off topic, SR gone 1 day and the board turns into a mess ;)

not adding to this thread (already think it might be locked or seriously edited due to off topicness) but id like to apologise to Priceless if he only has 1 account as he has made some good posts but think all this who is pricelss crap is nonsense that should be done over PM unless he wants to just say it on some thread.

Talk about irony. I always liked BikerTaker but it did defiantly run it's course.

Have to agree with that. The deadman ran its course too. Having a combo of the two gave the charachter new life.

Yep. His reduced wrestling schedule hasn't helped though, because hes not on tv every week its hard to make changes to the characther and pull them off successfully.

He still puts on good matches when he does wrestle.

The one thing that really annoys me about the taker these days is how he is when he is setting up for the chokeslam.

Like before it was really dominating and was done so frighteningly, where as now he looks like he is struggling with it and makes more emphasis on lifting the person rather than making the audience believe that he is really about to do something so bad to his opponent.

Edge does it well here but it could be the only time he bothers anymore.

Ha ha! I knew someone would pick up on that! i was lying down typing with one hand, too lazy to hit the caps lock! I do know how though. :)

I like Deadman Taker more than Badass Taker but not in this incarnation, I suppose i'm alone in saying my favourite was Ministry Taker with the cloak and the chinbeard, he was one evil MOFO at that time, although he didn't have great matches so.....

I guess i would rather see "Chinbeard heel deadman untertaker" than superface "American badass"

Yeah even his theme music was better, IMO, the version with the Latin intro. Now i would mark out if that incarnation made a comeback. Of course it won't but i can dream! ;)

I think the CHOKE elemant is certainly overlooked. The fact Kane and Big show use it probably let to the watered down version.
