Very little to it, if you're prepared to get your hands mildly dirty? Let engine run for a few minutes to warm the oil, stop engine, drain oil and remove plug. Clean plug or change for new plug. Replace sump nut/ plug and refill with oil. Wash and clean foam air filter element in a strong detergent solution. Dry element and saturate with oil. Sharpen blade and check for balance. Always drain the fuel tank at the end of every cutting season. I neglected to do this and had difficulties starting this year. Oh, and the starter cord broke, but a couple of hours later and I finally got the grass cut!
