Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Pick your Premiership XI....

Pick the best team out of all the players in the Premiership. But one stipulation....

Only one player from each team allowed. So you can't have Ronaldo and Vidic, or Gerrard and Torres for example. Only one Arsenal player, one Chelsea player etc...

This isn't necessarily based on form/performance from the 08/09 season but obviously this will be a factor. Try and look at it as if this is the team you will be bringing into the 09/10 season, so players who have quality but were injured/off form/haven't quite touched their true potential this season can be included.

Choose whatever formation you wish. Only include players in positions they can realistically play.

    Here's my team...

    Playing a 4-3-2-1

    Schawzer (Fulham)

Johnson (Porstmouth) / Jagielka (Everton) / Upson (West Ham) / Warnock(Blackburn)

    Barry (Aston Villa)

    Ireland (Man City)

    Lampard (Chelsea)

    Ronaldo (Man United) Arshavin (Arsenal)

    Torres (Liverpool)

(My formatting didn't quite work! Ronaldo is obviously meant to be there as a wide right winger, Arshavin on the left)

/woh that's very similar to Xavi's. 3 players different I think. I think Dunne on his day is the most dominant centre back in the premiership so I built the team from him and Ferdinand would keep Dunne on his game, every game.

    In a word - Yes!!

Seriously though - Vidic was having a monster season until his mini dip around the liverpool match - seems to be getting back to normal now though, so i take your point re: the defence

    But in attack...

Rooney hasnt done a whole lot this year (admittedly, he was good last night), Berbatov?? and while i like Tevez, he wasn't a contender
    - i think Beattie has made a tremendous impact and is the main reason Stoke will be playing PRM football next year

i've made the same mistake in the past in my judgment of him.

utd are a totally different prospect with him in the team, to the point which i'm not sure they'd be top of the league or in the Champions League if he hadn't been there.

he's been different class and it's a travesty he wasn't in the PFA shortlist.

    and i'm a Pool fan.
