Design for Stage and Screen?

    Hi Everyone!

    I just have a question in regards to the Design for Stage and Screen course here in IADT.

    What does the course focus the most on? I'm REALLY interested in costume design more so than the rest of the course so I'm just wondering does it focus more on like, the makeup design than it does on the costume design? I know that in your second year there you choose which area you'd like to specialise in, so does that mean in my second year I can choose to specialise in costume design ONLY?

    I'm just a little confused here so any help would be greatly appreciated :).

    Hi Megsy,

    Yes I think that's right, I was at the interview for the Stage Design course on Wednesday and that's what I was told. They kind of want people to have an idea which area they'd like to specialise in in 1st year and then its split up into three groups in second year - Make-Up, Costume and Production. The interviewers were lovely and very helpful. Apparently next year they're splitting it up into 3 separate CAO code courses, so you choose beforehand.
