8mm film to DVD?

Hi, Apologies in advance if this is inappropriate for the board.. I have three reels of 8mm film, stuff from my mother's childhood, and she's asked me to see if it would be possible to get them put onto DVD. Would anyone know of somewhere offering this service, and also any idea of the cost to transfer the three reels?…
