HI all. I have missed the deadline and really want to do this as my Dad died of cancer last year, if anyone is registered and isn't going to do it, can you please let me know? Thanks!

hi sorry to hear about your dad. what charity would you be raising money for? there are 30 of us doing it for the denis burkitt ward in st james hospital - some of the group didn't register on time but I was told they can still participate. :)

Hi, thanks for the message! I don't know, he died in the hospice in Harold's Cross but we are in Dublin 15, and they are raising funds to build a hospice here, which would have made our lives so much easier at the time. That or Cancer Research. Do you know what route they have to take to register at this stage, the website says the safety limits for participants have been reached, but I have emailed them cos I imagine there are lots of people who register and then can't compete nearer the time? Any info you have would be much appreciated. Is the ward you mentioned a cancer ward?

may be wrong but sure couldn't you go along and do it anyhow. you won't have a race number and you won't get a medal at the end, but you'll still have done it?

I have two extra race numbers for the mini marathon on June 1st as two friends are not able to attend. If anyone is interested in taking one let me know thru pm. I'm collecting the race pack and numbers on Saturday (23rd). With the pack my friends had requested timing clips too.

10 kilometers is 6.2 miles - it's the same thing, different unit of measuring and 6.2 miles is more than 5 miles. You seem a little confused.
