Hi, Where'd be the best place to buy a few bags of slate mulch, and how much would I need to set aside for the venture? All suggestions welcome.

Late reply but about 10 quid a bag for nice purple slate, there's a place out the airport road that does it - it's called the balgriffin patio centre out near the airside retail park. They deliver too and you'll need one 40kg bag for every square metre you want to cover - in my case it's to about 3 cm deep. It's a blue / purple slate like this:
