I see smartsavers only deliver to dublin and surrounding counties
    the same applies to recessionbustours

I rang smartsavers and asked if they would soon be delivering
to galway and surrounding counties and they said there hadnt
been any interest thus far and that i was the first to ring them
    from galway.

    http://smartsavers.ie/contact.html

I want my shopping delivered to the door and Im sure there's
lots more who want this service
    Email them, ring them
We might be able to get something going here if there's enough interest

This would be better in the Galway forum

I'm looking to have groceries delivered to my door.
I'm not looking to spend over 6hours on a bus or having
to spend 22eu for both of us.
It would make more sense to drive up really.
I just want what some people can avail of already
which is delivery to your door for 20 euro
Sit and home click on the items and presto
hassle free rather that wasting a whole day.
Who in their right mind would want to pay more
or spend all that time on a bus when they could
be doing it all in the comfort of their own home?

I had a look at the site, its a great idea. I'm surprised Galway, Limerick and Cork are not available for deliveries. If they're really serious about this they need to deliver to these areas, the cities are were most people live. Also I think they really don't need to deliver to the door. Offering pick up from a central depot would be fine, for example one in each region.

P.S. They don't deliver alcohol, tobacco and frozen food: http://smartsavers.ie/shopping.html :(

Never knew about Smart Savers but check Dealhunter.ie had a quick look but did not see that restriction but probably it's there.

I was kinda suggesting you post it in the galway forum and maybe put forward the notion that either of those two links are unaware there is a demand for the home delivery bit

    I emailed them.
I second the idea of adding this to the Galway forum. It might provide a business idea for someone already living in Galway too.

Has anybody who has used one these companies for a delivery from Sainsburys had any emails from Sainsburys saying that there account has been closed and all orders will be cancelled.

I only ever made one order and it contained no alcohol or anything like that, I suspect the amount of orders going to the one address has raised a flag with them.
