Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That second attempt off the rebound from the free kick was a decent shot! Nice save. Stay with it Spurs. Don't give them a chance!

Are the comentators blaming the sun?

I think they are try to argue that the sun is in VDS eyes which is strange since he didn't really do anything wrong in terms of the goals.

    Save by Gomes :pac:

Ronnie trying to take a leaf out of Alonso's book, wouldn't been something.

And all those that were saying things about Darren Bent can finally shut up. He did very well to keep that move alive that led to the second goal.

The premier league, it was some turns and twists.

    Yeah.

Truth is, as has been evinced in recent "great games", the Premier League has a poor standard of football. What it has, that the rest of Europe has still to come to grips with, is a good physical and athletic standard.

hmmm, after that goal i posted a yyyeeessssssss, which has subsequently disappeared...

    ah well,

    YYYEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

spurs just please don't get complacent, perfect for their speedy attacking team on the break now.

good to see it seems to be the good gomes out there today rather then the rubbish one

Top notch save, hes capable of that. Hopefully he won't mess up some simple cross cos hes certainly capable of that too

Nani's really, really terrible. How much did he cost again?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

United are in good control possession wise, if we can keep this up for the game, I think we'll get something out of it.

I'm not sure but if we gave a mars bar for him, we got burnt..
i don't know how they're booin berba its a disgrace especially with nani on the field he's a bag of waste(hopefully he'll prove me wrong and get a hattrick, highly unlikely.)
    ahhh come on united..

    Evra has been disappointing

    Sky news:
The half-brother of England and Spurs footballer Jermain Defoe has died after being attacked in the street.

Jade Defoe, 26, suffered serious head injuries in a brutal assault on Monday afternoon in Leytonstone, east London.

He was taken to a central London hospital where he died last night.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,703 ✭✭✭allybhoy

Berbatov should have been booked there, deliberate hand ball, utd really need to get Nani to track back with Evra, Lennon has too much space out there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,106 ✭✭✭✭~Rebel~

poor from bent, should have stayed on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,617 ✭✭✭✭PHB

First sub should be Anderson on for Carrick.

After that, I think bringing Tevez on for Nani, pushing Rooney to the left wing, might be a good move.

Will the corner make it 3 for half time?

Agreed, woeful stuff out of him again.

HT. United dominating possession but Spurs are walking through the defence and could easily have had another...Fergie for me needs to pull of Nani. With Berba/Ronnie/Nani on the pitch, none of em are arsed tracking back and Nani isn't offering enough going forward..

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 19,080 ✭✭✭✭Random

2-0 Spurs half time. Utd are gonna come out with shotguns in the second half.

It should be a good second half, I hope Spurs have it in them.

Pretty clinicial by Spurs in terms of the finishing.Beside the two goals, the only other chance/half-chance was Bent's early header.

Spurs getting great joy down their right against Evra.

    Intriguing second half awaits

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,678 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

    well iv gone for a 4-3 utd @ 40-1

utd are very much in this

Fergie will have to make a sub at HT and change around the team abit

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,213 ✭✭✭✭therecklessone

United with better possession in that half, and had Ronaldo not nicked that header from Berbs early on things might be so different.

Evra is exposed at LB, and all of our best attacking moves have been down that side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,329 ✭✭✭wcarey1975

If spurs sit back second half UTD will get something out of this game. So lets hope they try and get the third.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,841 ✭✭✭Running Bing

I reckon it will be either 2-0 spurs or 3-2 United.

If United get an early goal they will be impossible to stop.
