EDIT: Problem back. I cannot view RAW files!

I have been told to download software but when I try to do this I get this page > http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010629.asp
and this message : "Available software for EOS 1000D

When i load the linked page I see all the software and i can filter by my OS and language which reduces the list - i then see links to for example the "Picture Style Editor" and if I follow the link, it downloads an application.

Appears to be working here.

Hi, I am looking for it in English. I have downloaded the software but they still won't show!

Maybe what the OP needs is the RAW codec

While you're waiting to get the "real" download, try UFRaw. Make a copy of the RAWs (just to be safe), and then convert to jpeg or something if you just want to look at them.

Do you have Nero installed? Sometimes Nero takes control of RAW files.
Do your files show as 'Nero Encrypted File' in explorer?

Yes Nero is installed.

What version of photoshop do you have?
What message do you get when you try to open a RAW file?
If you navigate to the files location in Explorer and change to Detail view what Type is the file?

I do not have photoshop on this computer. The message I get is that Windows cannot open this type of file etc.., then it gives me options to choose from a list to open it or search online.

I cant open RAW files on my laptop using photoshop, I get the following msg 'could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document'. I have Nero installed on my Laptop.

I can open RAW files on my home PC and I dont have Nero installed.

Go to the Adobe website and do a search for camera RAW. You will get results like this

Have you installed the RAW codec I linked you to above? You will have to if you want to see the files in windows explorer or view them in Windows photo gallery.

If you don't want to do that then download picasa it'll let you view your RAWs and export them as jpegs.
