Would an EA have more to gain from a new build sale or a second hand house sale?

    Hi
Just wondering if it's in an Estate Agents (who is selling both new and old properties in an estate) best interest to sell a new or second hand property in an estate?
    thanks

Depends on which one gives a higher commission :)

    :)

Would anyone know / guess at if the commission for selling a new build would be more or less than the 1% charge for a second hand house?

I'd guess - as they're selling numerous new properties - that they'd be on a bulk deal for commission with the builders and possibly less than 1%?

i thought it was 1% regardless

Possibly more hassle selling existing properties, so they might attract a slightly higher fee.
