Server gone down : Heat sink fan failed : Where to get a new one?

Hi guys,

I've just had a server gone down. It has an old P4, heat sink and a 70 x 70 x 15mm Spire fan sitting on it. The fan stopped rotating and server started blue screening. I have just noticed a second server whose fan has stopped but hasn't died just yet.

I want to get replacement fans asap but am having great difficulty. I cannot upgrade to multi core processors and have to stick with an Intel P4.

Any one know where I can get some. I've already tried a few local trade and retail places in the Clondalkin, Lucan area.

But they have a substantially lower airflow than those quoted for your spire fans. (29.5 CFM instead of 33.8 CFM)

Is it a 2U server that won't allow you to fit a taller heatsink?
Any possibility of fitting a wider heatsink.
Is it a P4 478 socket?

In the end I had to get a new heatsink and 80mm fan. I didn't want to have to do that as I'd have to clean off the CPU, jelly it up again and place the sink on top.

But for the life of me, I couldn't find ANY 70mm fans in Dublin and I drove far to check.
