Well thats probably the worst performance so far by the pool in months but they are winning..

That pitch is diffently causing a few problems.. the ball seems to be getting stuck and slowing down as seen in the build up to the alonso free kick and eventual goal..

The performance will surely improve in the 2nd half. Now that hull are losing they'll have to gamble more giving torres and benny the chance to counter..

Come on pool... lets get one comfortable win on setanta!!:pac:

Benayoun looking lively when he gets the ball, Insua also performing well.

Surely Liverpool cant be as poor in the second half.

After he fell over the defender stepped on his foot. Nothing to warrant the reaction though. Half time comment: Liverpool playing poorly but still ahead. (sounds like uniteds last 2months)

yes have to agree but hopefully will be better 2nd half. Having said that I'd take another bad 45 if we got another goal and won 2-0.

Finnan has been injured for most of the season, thats hardly compitition for Arbeloa, Arbeloa has never been any better than an average player for us at best anyway, he doesn't need compitition, he needs replacing

That's not what happened. Did you see the replay?

Series of events:

1. Mascherano turned and tripped over himself.
2. He began to fall over
3. As he was falling over, a Hull player kicked him in the feet
4. He continued to fall to the ground
5. He held his ankle in pain [most likely from stage 3]

Tis strange. There is no way that he was fouled in the lead up to falling but as he was half way down, Boateng actually kicked him when going for the ball.

Not quite sure if he retardedly fell while running or dived in the lead up however.
