I say that because Belfast kicked the **** out of Dublin in the last shows.

I was at both last time and can't say I noticed much of a difference. Probably preferred the Belfast set list alright but that's down to the band sure.

    Indoor or outdoor?

Indoors I reckon. They've only played outdoors here once. Slane 93.
I'd love em to do electric picnic. Never happen though.

I'm with you. Festivals are hard work but outdoors isnt always PJs thing. Most pointless show I ever saw them play was an outdoors thing. Hard rock calling, in London.
Yet somewhere like wulheide in Berlin it's almost magical.
Be interesting to see what happens. Looks like the San Siro in Italy is all but confirmed.

same show with the hives? 2010 or 2011?

Thought the hives were great, thought pearl jam were great but as I left I did remark that I would've preferred seeing PJ in their own venue.

Was a great show, but the other time i saw PJ was an indoor venue and their own show (+guests) and theyve blown me away

This will have to be announced today if tickets are on sale Friday right?

An email from Ten Club had my heart in my mouth this morning but alas only Eddie's Australian tour.

They'll surely hit Ireland after missing it last time. Fingers crossed

Rumour is ev is playing more solo dates on another continent.
Could well get him here after all. Where would be play though?
Itd have to grand canal theatre. Or the Olympia?

No Irish date...yet. I have a funny feeling they'll play Ireland much later on the tour as opposed to previous tours where it was the first date on the Euro tour.

Werchter it shall have to be for me, cant afford anything else!

  • Registered Users Posts: 843 ✭✭✭Yellowledbetter

Amsterdam and one of the 2 UK ones for me all going well. Suspect an Irish date will be done at some stage too, maybe that's more hope than expectation though!!

With the obvious exception of Berlin I'm underwhelmed by those cities/venues.

They've a longstanding love with playing Werchter, they love it there.

    Fantastic performance 2 years back.

Those gigs are a bit underhwelming tbh. I've been to Werchter before and I liked it but dunno if I want to see them at a festival.

Berlin or Amsterdam I'd say for me. Maybe Trieste and then try and work a bit of a holiday around that part of the world around it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 21,340 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Playing full set at Werchter so doesnt bother me with it being a festival!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,679 ✭✭✭hidinginthebush

Plus Werchter is a great festival to go to!

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,178 ✭✭✭✭NothingMan

Been trying to come up with a mini tour all morning. Was thinking Milan, Trieste, Vienna & Berlin but would be a pricy trip too. Other side I'm thinking of maybe just going to Werchter and hoping for a closer date towards the end too.

Have any of you been to the Open'r festival in Poland. It looks good value at €130 for a 4 day camping but only seems to PJ and the Black Keys confirmed so far
