It could be poor quality BBs. What kind of BB are you using?

Are you winding the mag enough?

Should make a loud clicking noise different to the usual winding.

    Hey - I'm using Raptor - High Velocity 0.20g BB's - the Lads in <snip> recommended them.

Thanks for the reply - im winding the mag but the sound is not changing - but the BB's are coming up into the hole at the top of the mag - just wondering if the mag is defective - I'll try one of the spare mags I have. I also noticed that when taking out the batterey from the stock there were a few bbs in with the battery.

You will always have a few bb's fall out of the magwell after taking out an mag. This is due to the space between the barrel/hop and the magazine. It is nothing to worry about. Even an empty mag will leave behind a few bb's.

It is also very common to have bb's get into the main body of the Aug. Kinda annoying, especially when they get into the grip, as they can be quite difficult to get out.

These last two issues are very much linked.

As for your jamming problem. Remove the front end and look down the barrel to make sure the hop up isn't damaged. Thus causing jams.

I was told recently that Aug's can have feeding problems because the magazine isnt sitting right. Try applying a little pressure forward and up to the bottom of the magazine.

If your gun is jammed, dont keep fireing it. If a bb is blocking the air nozzle, it will cause negative pressure inside the gear box. So the gears will have to do more work getting the piston back. This can be especially damagaing with a high speed setup. I recently stripped a piston due to this.
