Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi all i recently purchased a wireless router, after setting it up to have an access point i only get a local connection on laptop,i tried all the usual stuff like resetting the box and having it set to automatic i.p but no success.

My set up is as following

wired router--->connected to wireless router---->wireless router---->ethernet cable connected back to main p.c

i know its a crude set up,my laptop can pick up the set up.

is the IP address of the wired router in the same subnet as the wireless router ?
(and the dhcp server setup for the same range for your wireless connections)

i think i have my routers set up as wired: 192.168.1.1 and wireless 192.168.1.253
the first one with dhcp of 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.150, and the wireless dhcp set for 192.168.1.151-192.168.1.252. have the subnet masks as 255.255.255.0 on everything.

hopefully that will all slot in for you.

or set the wired as 192.168.1.1 and the wilre less as 192.168.2.1

it's much more straight forward just chaning the subnet completly rather than setting different dhcp pools on the same subnet
