Hey, not sure if this is the right place to post this

Got a new car stereo yesterday, a Sony Xplod MEX-BT3600U http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_catalogId_10151_storeId_10001_partNumber_930925_langId_-1

It has a Aux-in for mp3 connectivity, and I have a Creative Zen Vision M. Problem is, when I connect them with an aux cable I bought yesterday, it makes my mp3 go mental, saying its shutting down, then switching to the radio function. I don't know if its the cable, mp3 or radio.

The cable is an Exspect 3.5mm-3.5mm stereo link cable.

Cheers for any help, I know its a kinda weird situation.
