Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We've now gotten into our usual Newcastle state. Chasing the ball and not creating anything when we do have it.

    Shít.... Enrique going off.

I still don't understand how Newcastle are so bad when you look at the players they have out there.

Good players but no passion or fight and over payed.

    Duff at left-back

please point out the good players?

Jonas, Bassong, Taylor, Beye, Barton, Guthrie, Oba and Owen and Viduka are all quality when they are arsed.

Now Butt wants to be brought off.

Chance from Smith. Oh what a chance.

Great bit of pressure from us. Duff so close.

    Oh come on now!

Viduka is good for about three games a season these day, will be lucky to be playing in the Premier League next season.

Owen's head has been at the race track for the last few years. At his age, I really can't see that changing.

Guthrie and Beye with the words quality in the same sentence really is taking the piss.

at least guthrie and jonas have a bit of potential unlike the has-beens that haunt the club...

    how did martins miss?

Great end to the half for us. We need to keep creating chances and not to give away the ball so easily.

Martins should have scored that chance. Guthrie has really been the playmaker so far since he's come on in place of Enrique.

Wonder if Joey Barton will be introduced. Owen's been fairly quiet. It just seems to be Martins and Dukes doing all the work for us.

We've had some good possession but we need to create more. Doing well so far though considering. Come on the toon.

Barton needs to come on for Smith.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Barton needs to come on for Smith.

Agreed. Apart from that one shot he's done nothing.

We haven't created very much so it's a possibility. We just cannot concede. Getting one goal seems difficult enough. To get two seems nearly impossible for this team given their current form.

    Big chance Viduka.

    Should have done better.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Very little creativity here from the barcodes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Half a chance from Martins there. He's certainly got the legs on Campbell.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,148 ✭✭✭✭Raskolnikov

Cripes, Duff has no pace whatsoever these days. Johnson skinned him badly there.

Surely a change is imminent. Bring on Barton for Smith now.

This is a tough situation for me. I would love to see Newcastle stay up but Blackburn are still in danger so I really want to see us look safer. I still find it hard to shout against the Toon though and especially now with Shearer in charge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 51,342 ✭✭✭✭That_Guy

Last sub left for us. Who'll it be? Jonas or Barton?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,561 ✭✭✭Duff

Has draw wrote all over it. No luck what so ever yet again.

    Peter Crouch might disagree

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Excellent choice with Jonas on. Now would be a great time for a goal.

    Great save from Harper.

I love duff, and he certainly goes down as an all-time Irish great, but what the hell were Newcastle thinking when they paid him £70k a week!
