May Bank Holiday and bank payments?

Hi, does anyone know what's happening with bank payments due to be paid on the 1st May. I believe ithat May 1st is a bank holiday in Europe and therefore Irish banks will be affected in that any papment transfers due to occur on the 1st will happen on the 5th May instead. If anyone can clarify please do!:confused:

International payments in and out will be but in bank transfers wont i.e. BOI to BOI.
Not too sure about the likes of BOI to AIB and all the others for example i think they are affected too
