How many TD's will force an election

    Just a simple question.

How many resigning FF TD's would force an election tomorrow.

FF and Brian Cowen must now be stopped, its nearly getting to the stage where by any means necessary would be welcome.

We need a new format whereby the best 80 politicians are kept from every party and the public must have some say as well.

Our grandchildren will be paying for this.

Current majority is 7 and likely to be 5 when they finally get round to the by-elections. So you would need 3 resignations and a vote of confidence in which those three also voted against the Govt.

The FF TF's are in power, why would they resign?

80 politicans from every party, and some public (ALL UNELECTED no doubt) you say? F**k that.

    Best at what?
The cabinet (are supposed to) play a role but what do the ordinary TDs do?

So all we need to do is remove 7 FF TD's and then a general election will be called.

We only need a maximum of 80 TD's in total to run the country.

The point about public involvement is that you can choose 5-10 3 rd level educated people and get rid of the senate.

Why do we need consultants, it just implies that the people given the jobs in civil service are incompetant. Why do we need Quangoes.

Why haven't the government addressed the 50% overstaffing. If USA were using Ireland's proportionate % they would have 50 million people working for the gov.

    24,000 teachers
Education is the key to the future, No cuts but make the school year longer. Tie in social services with teaching to get to kids before they are 6 years old, in the long term you will save on crime and destroyed childhoods.

    40,000 nurses.
Health is too important to cull.

70,000+ HSE managers and admin staff. Why do we need 1 1/2 times the amount of managers?

    15,000 Garda.
Make them work in a more effecient way. Use court presenters. Use the civil service courts dept to do the admin work (they do already but garda duplicate it)

Uphold the law. Most people here don't give a f*ck about the law. How many offences have you seen people commit in the last week.

Civil service. A model of bureaucracy, ineffeciency, cronyism and duplication.

"The civil service has three main functions:
    • It advises the Government on policy
    • It helps prepare and draft new legislation and
    • It helps the Government to run the country according to the legislation passed by the Oireachtas."
There are another 160,000 employees in the vast black hole.
