Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking for Architect

    Hi all,

Was wondering if it was possible when selecting an Architect to have a meet with a few - give them a brief and see who comes up with the best design ?

Is this normally the way one goes about selecting an Arch or is it on referrals etc ?

Also what would be the going rate we would have to pay each one for draft ideas - no specs at all, very rough stuff.

We have not purchased the site yet - we are really just trying to visualize what we could put on it before committing to anything major.

    Thanks
    Rob

If you are up front there should be no problems . If some one does works on spec but that is clearly understood ... no problem

But don't expect much for nowt - even in this climate . Best bet is to have a look around your area and see if there are any examples of work you like . Try to get referrals. Your prospective architect should be able to give you a list of happy clients .

Most important thing is to find someone you think you can get along with . Because things can and do go wrong - always keep the end target in sight . An experienced Architect will have seen it all before .

The very best of luck :)
