So I got my hands on this little beauty at last. first impressions of it are really good. the finish isnt the same type as the detonics as i had expected. its more of a hazey shiny alloy kinda look than the chrome of the detonics. it looks really nice though and the trade marks are flawless. all of them are clear and neatly pressed. i half expected them to be deep in parts and fading in others like the TM version but no, they look great.

Its a full metal pistol so theres nice weight in it and it only has a slight rattle so im happy with enough with that. the sights are nice and neat but with no dots on, It would have been nice to have some dots but thats being pickey really.

Unlike the Wilson Combat and the TM, the grips on this are made from plastic as apposed to the rubberized finish on the others. They feel really good but I would prefer the ones from the TM or Wilson Combat with that kinda grippy feel on them.

The right side safety lever is a little loose out of the box but its nothing serious. a simple fix. Theres an adjustable hopup and the internals are the same as that of the TM. the hopup has a good effect and is handy enough to adjust.
The magazine locks in solidly and doesnt wobble.

The front barrel bushing is the same design used by WE on their 1911's and its a well known failure. thankfully the Army Armaments one looks more beefy so heres hoping it'll be better than the WE. the metal itself seems better.
The barrel itself is a regular brass jobbie and the outer barrel is a black mat finish powdercoating with the markings "NW7125 .45ACP" on it and it contrasts nicely against the polished finish of the slide.

I was able to easily hit a chest sized target from 30-40 ft with .2 BB's, it was better again when using excel .23's. a 3-5 inch groupings were easily pulled off with a range of 20ft.

Overall its a very impressive piece and easily stands up the the quality of its TM and Wilson Combat counterparts and at a fraction of their price.
Only time will tell how well it stands up reliability wise. but from what ive seen im very happy and ive no doubt it'll last me a while. :)

I'm gonna get some tritium sights for it and theres a Crimson Trace grip set on its way. :)

Anyway, i'll let the pics to the talking and i'll make a discussion thread for anyone who has any Q's.

I took some pics of this with the TM MEU for comparason. The Army is an exact clone of the TM and after chrnon'ing it yesterday, its more powerful and has more of a kick from it. :)

Notice the TM hasn't got the Pachmayr name on the grips but the Army does.
