    Separate Tables embraces a disparate group of individuals who live in
    a modest guest house in Bournemouth, England, in the early 1950s.
    Each has his or her secret in a social climate where keeping up
    appearances and preserving one’s reputation is paramount.
    The layers of lies, hypocrisy, and pretence are peeled away gently and
    deliberately to reveal the painful emotions at the heart of the
    characters.
