Changing Course & Exams

    I'm doing Arts in first year but i'm changing over in September to do social care in DIT. I don't see the point in doing exams. What would you advise me to do? Would you still do the exams or would you just not sit them and start over in September in the new course?

    as far as i know you have to pay fees either way for next year so you might as well jsut skip the exams

    double check that though

    Yeah, I'd also recommend double checking.
    No harm in being sure. Simplist solution would be to check with the Education Officer. If he doesn't know himself he'll find someone who does (or perhaps the DIT equivalent? Or CAO).

    I was in the same position as OP a few years ago when I knew I was transferring courses and I still did my exams. i'm glad I did too. There's a certain pride in saying that you didn't fail an exam but that you walked away for other reasons, that it was your own choice. You also really enjoy your post-last-exam drink! Whether you do exams or not, you will have to pay fees for every year you've started.
