I think House of Wolves' whole post was tongue-in-cheek. Citing History as a useful degree kind of gave it away.

Im well aware of tongue in cheek but there is a vast difference between that being outright arrogant. people who really think they are better than everyone else I have no time for, and you sir are one of them.

Ugh... I don't think I'm better than anyone. I just think I put in more effort to finding a good library seat and deserve to hang on to it. Settle down will ya?

I'm a long-time reader of this forum, but a first time poster, so forgive me for seeming like I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

So many fallacies there I don't know where to start! Good luck on your first class honours degree.

And I do feel I deserve the best spot in the library because few put such effort into it as I do!

And next time I sit down there I'll smile with self satisfaction at the thought of someone desperately looking for a desk... After wandering in at 3 or 4 in the evening!

Yes I get up early and study, but I tend to take a few hours break around half 11 or 12 o clock. Should I take all my stuff with me to allow some 2 O clock Jimmy to usurp my seat?? As far as I'm concerned I'm getting up earlier than others. Simple capitalism. I get there first so its my seat. Simple as that. If you don't like it then study at home!

Sounds more like fascism to me...you think it's quite acceptable to "hog" a seat for a day, just so that you can study/walk in and out at your leisure during the busiest exam period of the year, on the mere basis that you need to be rewarded for getting up early? What about people who work late, in bars for example, and need a decent amount sleep before they study? Or even people who work during the morning? It'll probably shock you to think that such people exist in Trinity, that not everyone is privileged enough to enter the library to witness the spectacle of all books being in their place, their copy of the Herald AM held in tow. Don't worry about it though...i know you don't feel superior to anyone or anything.

Back on topic, has anyone seen the tall, blonde (male) security guard wandering about the place? I've never actually seen him stop anybody from talking, or taking note of the countless rows of places left unattended before. What exactly is he doing like?

I'm hardly a troll. But the person with one post may well qualify as a stalker...
