I know there is an option to change supervisor/project before 8th May but after that date is there much room to change once accepting the original ircset offer? Thanks

Yea, the funding is very much student centric as opposed to supervisor /project centric. I know someone who switched supervisor (and field) one year into their funding! I know of someone else who switched college and supervisor after a year!

So you shouldn't have a problem, especially as you haven't even started yet.
