Taken for Sligo Camera Club competition on WB Yeats to mark his 70th anniversary. The image was to be inspired by a title or line from a Yeats poem. This one is inspired by a line from 'He Wishes for Cloths of Heaven': "The blue and the dim and the dark cloths of night and light and the half-light"

Friend of mine is expecting his first baby (due in a couple of months). He wanted to get a decent camera and learn a bit about photography to capture the occasion. I sold him an old 350D I had as a back-up and after a crash-course on composition we went out to shoot. As he was fascinated by flowers, bugs, birds & plants; I was fascinated by his fascination.



It's been two weeks now; he has yet to put the camera down.
