    Hi folks,

When working with wordpress is there a way to make the homepage seperate in terms of content and layout to the other pages?

Ive used the static pages option in wordpress so that i have my various static pages using the pages.php layout but on the homepage I wanted to lay it out slightly different and not have the page name as the heading tag etc, is it possible to edit this page seperately to the rest?

Does it become index.php or anything if you have made it the homepage in the wordpress backend?

    Cheers
