Urbus buses

    4 or 5 years ago when the urbus service began they used to use these large single deck orange colour buses, shortly after and up until now they have been using smaller white mini buses, whatever happened to the larger buses because afaik they were purchased especially for the urbus route ,were they withdrawn due to low passenger numbers??

    The original buses were burnt out at the Eirebus depot in Ballycoolin some years ago.

    They are using large ish single decker buses again. They only use those small ones if one of the others breakdown.
    But yes its true there was an arson attack a few years ago that wiped out a good few of the newer buses. I was using that bus at the time and those small buses were a nightmare especially for people who had luggage for the airport.

    Dublin Bus don't serve the route and are perhaps 300 times bigger. they don't need to resort to arson.
