Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I assume that's sarcasm but you should know that sarcasm doesn't translate well to the written word.

thought Arsenal were a bit dodgy at the back but didn't expect that...unlucky maybe but I thought he looked seriously under pressure at OT.

As an Arsenal fan, I just want one or two goals at this stage to have something to celebrate.

Have to say I feel sorry for Gibbs. Tough at any age but especially being so young. If things were going so bad for my team I'd be gutted.
Having said that if Arsenal are to get something from the game they need to earn it. They were outplayed in the first leg and circumstances more than anything have left them limp in this leg. (no pun intended)

BBC saying Ronaldo free-kick was measured at 41 yards.

United have'nt even got out of second gear for god's sake. The ref is bad alright but come on it's men against boys out there.

Not sure if Dunphy was just tryign to backtrack on Ronaldo (I didnt see the pre match stuff) but I dont no where he was going saying Ronaldos ball across for the first goal was great. If Gibbs hadnt slipped the ball was rollign too him and it would have been used as a wastefull ball from Ronaldo clip.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,291 ✭✭✭eclectichoney

Once again, Fletch having a great, great game.

I'd nearly be afraid to bring tevez on with him on a yellow.

Maybe give Rooney another 20 (under strict instructions not to get a yellow card :D) and bring on berbs or giggs?

genuinely feel sorry for Gibbs - he looks a great prospect and it's tough on such a young player.

Man that No to Racism ad is getting on my goat. Fine no to racism but yes to kicking out the idiot who doesn't know if it's a goal or not.

i dont see why - we've players who can come on and do a job. its not like we're chasing goals. if he was to pick up a yellow in the first 15 of second half id be raging. Fergie knows best though and hes still on

Maybe that's why they had to clear the stands. They didn't want people being subjected to his low IQ.

    Good save by Almunia.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,942 ✭✭✭missingtime

It's melodramatic tripe like this that makes this forum excruciating to read at times.
United are being flagged off side when they're not and clean in on goal. Throw in given against Park. Bad decisions. Doesn't make it the worst display by officials.
Perspective. For the love of God.

My point was he is blowing up for every little thing. There is no flow to the game and bit of iffy tackle and he calls a free. Its dull referring.

Pathetic from Arsenal. This is supposed to be the Champions League semi-final and they don't even look arsed. Hope United trounce them.

I feel sorry for Almunia actually. Definitely at fault for the second goal but he's made some good saves apart from that. He's had a good season overall.

Got to hold his hands up for the second goal though.

Yep. This one tie could be 6-0 easily if not for his saves.
