Yeah, I put one of the original ps1 pads (digital I think) in a pulled out the stock board, so the turbo buttons don't work anymore. The converter is logic brand, seems pretty responsive to me, but I'm no expert. I have one of those korean ones that laugh(srk guy) sells too, if anybody wants it.

Thought so. I did the very same mod to a Madcatz SE (ps1 pad plus converters).

As a result of me not needing/trying to raise cash I have put my PS3 TE up for sale (not a GIANT fan of the TE, posted up on NE and had a buyer for SVB but got no co-ordination sadly) Still up for sale if anyone is interested. May not get lucky but hey it's worth a shot

Hey guys :) I heard it is easy to make a PS1 pad into a stick, I'm just finding it hard now to find a PS1 pad. So I was wondering if anyone had a spare pad, or even better an old PS2 stick that they are thinking about selling. It's just I've only got a PS3 stick. Or would it be better just to get a converter for that ?

    Thanks

Look at red dragon jack's post on the previous page! He's selling a ps1 stick here

As for ps1 pads, the easiest ones to mod are the see-through ps1 dualshocks like this one

You can't really get converters from ps3 to anything else (at least not good ones)

Thanks man ^^ Yeah I saw his post, but 80 quid I don't have haha Thanks for the links :) I'll have to keep an eye out for those pads then :)

The hori real arcade is a really good and solid stick though. I felt 80 was a bit much too but if you could get him to include converters (meaning you could play on xbox360/ps3/pc etc) and haggle on the price a little it would be worth it!

    Look what just arrived:

Have to order some new parts for it.
Also will probably solder in Sanwa microswitches.

    Too late, comrade.
    :(
I was trying to keep the package small, because I can't afford to be caught by customs again.

I was thinking that. If the buttons were just the other way around, Ropey could come to infernos! I'd say he'd give Ian a run for his money :P

Also, I would kill for a PS2 Sega Virtua Stick.

Has anyone suffered since the last PS update which stops some ps2 sticks etc from working?

The TE was it? No wonder greece has no money!

He bought the plexi for it from arcadeforge.de
Then used sanwa square buttons i think.

  • Registered Users Posts: 18,707 ✭✭✭✭K.O.Kiki

Yeah, Sanwa make square buttons OBSF-24KK for Guitar Freaks (aka the game that came before Guitar Hero), as well as triangular buttons OBSF-24TR.
