Just curious if anyone remembers this place? It used to be down the small alley beside Paddy's in Eyre Square. You could go in & choose which video game on which system you wanted to play....Just got a bout of nostalgia this morning, wanted to see if anyone else remembers it

Remember the place alright. Pay for an hour or whatever and get to play different games consoles (Megadrive, and Nintendo Console from Memory) and pick whatever game you like as well. Got to swap and change as frequently as you wanted too Was a great dumping ground for kids whilst parents went about there business in town!

glad to see someone rememebers! Ya, when that place closed down we had to go to funworld....:(

would love to have something like that nowadays. maybe have a retro corner to go along with other, up-to-date systems.

Galway needs an arcade with up-to-date games!

Used to do the same thing in or around Leisureland for a while - think it was underneath the main area, can't remember exactly.

Do remember trying out some Megadrive games then though, long before chez Mikey turned into the three console wonderland of today. Was an ominously dark place with cubicles, spooked my little brother out a bit.

I think my membership card is round here somewhere too. The megadrive and SNES at every chair, and then in the middle there were two disc based consoles, I think they were Sega Saturns?

I remember it alright, it was in that courtyard behind Paddys. Real dingy spot, fair play to whoever set it up though, it was a good idea.

Many the day i got the train into town and spent my day in there.....

Can't remember that place, guess you lot are showing your age :D

I can remember when FunWorld above Supermacs (Eyre Sq) opened up - it was brilliant for a few years, then rapidly went downhill

Funworld was excellent when all the games were rigged with doorbells over the coin slot so you could just press the button instead of putting in the coin, all our birthdays were spent there.
