Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Or great result, terrible shot ?

    :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

    Brilliant result. :D

I took a lot of photos, but unfortunately most of the action was down the other end of the pitch from me .... aside from the tries. ;) Due to licensing agreements though, can't post any here, but they are on my website.

Nice shot Hugh. A nice mix of red and blue on the hill.

Great set Paul, really caught the atmosphere and action, well done. My young fella is really chuffed, he can pick himself out in shot #2, the one of the Hill.:)

some great oppertunities for great crowd shots, the chequered patterned seating was cool.

    Great result...

and athenry is in galway no?

and athenry is in galway no?

Had to love that. First time the Munster crowd started singing it, some guys put up a banner - "Athenry is in Galway - Connacht" :D I think there were 2-3 similar banners around the place.

Some amazing photographs - well done!

The first O'Gara one is class. I presume that was photoshoped?

Nope, no photoshop. Just panning and a slower shutter speed. Most didn't work (other players) but the O'Gara one worked better than I expected.

    Thanks.

Awful Munster performance.... there's always next year. Well done Leinster on outclassing us form 1-15.

Great crowd shots. There was some crowd yesterday. Largest for a "club rugby" game.

Such a brilliant sea of red and blue.

Great photo's, the jerseys really bring out the color in everything xD

Absolutely horribile result though.. Guess we have ourselves to blame -.-

Here are a few of mine from the game. I'm not allowed display them on a public forum either.

Result was chronic but unfortunately Munster were never at the races. The trip to the final was as usual booked months ago so I'm going to head over anyway.

Or y'know, Leinster, the team who beat you to blame.

Seeing as Munster Leinster flame wars aren't allowed in the rugby forum, I figured I'd start one here instead. I presume the mods are cool with that? :pac:

The last one's a bit blurry, in full size, since I had literally 5 seconds to take my camera out, turn it on and shoot, but otherwise captured it at the right moment.

did anyone else think they spotted a lenster following boardsie celebrating a score on the tv footage?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

Oh yeah, spotted him alright. The clip is on Youtube and clearly shows some leinster man celebrating. :D

I'll get my pics up later.
I've been seriously unmotivated since the game. :(
Definitely not going to apply for the Final.
I've applied for the UEFA Champions League Final instead. :D

He had taken the sunglasses off at that stage. Hadn't noticed Sexton's go at O'Gara before. What an idiot!

Some nice photos there. All the action was down your end of the pitch for most of the game, so easier to get more action shots. The only action I really saw were the tries. :D

The pity for you was that they weren't very dramatic touchdowns.
Even the celebrations were a bit lame.
I thought I was doing you a favour by swapping with you at half-time. :p

Very lame altogether. Shows how nervous they were about getting beaten that they weren't able to express themselves more when they scored.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,146 ✭✭✭Morrisseeee

I wouldn't agree about the 'lame celebrations' and 'nervousness', I would have said that they were a VERY focussed team and not getting carried away with scoring a try, it would also show how hard they were working in the game to achieve the result, ie. kinda too tired (or not enough energy to waste) on celebrations !! IMHO !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,381 ✭✭✭✭Paulw

Guys, it's rugby, not football. There are generally no big celebrations in rugby when someone scores.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,459 ✭✭✭Dodgykeeper

I dont agree with Trouser Press that City's photos are any better than the others, in fact I think that PaulW's pictures are far superior to anything I have ever seen before, and Paul is such a wonderful kind and generous person as well as being extremly handsome!

( I owe him that cos he got me a ticket for the Match last saturday)

I was a bit confused when Paul said he made an old man very happy, by giving him his ticket! :D

Twisting words now. I said that I made MY old man very happy. My father got my ticket, and another I had spare went to Fergus.

Ok, back to the photography, please.

The crowd were brilliant. Plenty to photograph.

I just put through my accreditation request for the final in Edinburgh. Now I have to wait and see if it's approved.
