Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys need to do an oil service on my E46 320D any body know where to buy the oil and filter at a good price. Meath Dublin areas or online.

    ive got a price online for €100 for 8litres and the filter and shipping fee from uk is this good?

    halfrauds were doing 5l for 30 euro this week but it was mobil oil.

    Paid round 100 Euros on Fri for 6 litres of castrol Edge 5w-30 oil, from Halfrauds on the Malahide road. get it much cheaper online, but I was too impatient!!

    It only comes in 4 and 1 litre bottles! and my capacity is 5.3.litres!!:mad:

    There is no reason to go for Castrol Edge. Just get the correct spec oil in your local motor factor. The price bop1977 is quoting seems more realistic for semi synth (which I assume 5w 30 is!)

    Are you sure that Edge 5W30 is the right oil? The Castrol site has two 320D E46 listings:

    The last time that I bought 4 litres of 0W30 Turbo Diesel it cost me around 50 euro in Newbridge.

    I'm sure the recommended oil for most modern BMWs is fully synthetic oil. The Castrol EDGE is fully synthetic & expensive as a result. The interval between changes is longer with fully synthetic so it should be more than just about comparing price.
