    Hey everyone,

i've got a really old dell laptop with 256mb of ram and a pentium 2.4ghz processor...

I posted a thread earlier about which version of linux i should use and that was very helpful thank you.

I tried puppy but it didn't really work too well with it...
but i'll try the others later.

What i'm wondering about now and why i set up a new thread is because the laptop has a wireless usb adapter (netgear wg111t) when i ran puppy with the laptop the graphics side of things just didn't work with the laptop but it also would not see the usb wireless adapter, i tried to install the driver for it and i'm supposing the windows drivers don't work for it.

Will i have the same problem with all versions of linux?

No, other distros can work better. Try Xubuntu. I thought 256MB was too little ram but someone else said Xubuntu can work fine with that much memory, so give it a go. It should work much better with your hardware.
