Hi, I was pointed in the direction of this thread. Does anyone know where I could pick up tickets to Ireland's summer tour to the SH?

    Thanks.

Anyone know if more tickets will be released for the Ire vs Baa Baas game? Have a ticket for the East Terrace and looking to pick up a second, all gone on Ticketmaster. If anyone has a spare for the terrace I'd gladly take it...

My boss is bringing some clients from South Africa to watch the Ireland v Boks game in November. Does anyone know anything about tickets for this? The IRFU website is very out of date. Do these tickets usually go on general sale?

Any help you can give is much appreciated.

Wow, that's a ballsy move to organise a trip from SA without any guarantee of tickets... Particularly with the reduced capacity in Lansdowne...Best of luck

Why not try to email them and ask?

    Email General Queries: info@IrishRugby.ie

They're not just travelling for the game, but it coincides nicely. It's in the planning stage at the moment so just want to know what the general situation will be about getting tickets. The South African side are worse than useless for getting information from.

Thanks, I will email them and ask.

I applied for two tickets for all of Ireland's pool games a couple of months back, my credit card has been charged in the last couple of days so guess I got them.

I hope to be in Oz around that time so would obviously use them if I am over there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,882 ✭✭✭Diamondmaker

Single match tickets available in Sept.

My experience at France tells me no need to panic for the USA and Russia tix, you will get them on site for cheap as chips.

Italy may be worth buying up front and Oz is a must buy.

The CEO for RWC NZ was on the rugby show here and there has been a great take up interntionally but Oz has been very slack so far, ( possibly due to proximity its not a priority to feel they need to get orgnaised so far out )
therfore we should hop on these single match tix and make it a "Home Game"

I wonder should we start a thread to support this idea, If Munster can do it to Leinster we can do it in NZ to Oz !!

I just got rejected for pool tickets. Not happy at all as I was banking on heading to New Zealand around then on a trip. I'm sure I'll pick some up in between, rejection is just so tough (sob)

If you can get to kerry tomrrow then i have 4 tickets here im not using. I tried to get a refund on them but the IRFU said that due to the game being sold out, no chance.

What on earth to do you mean when you say that you should not be selling a ticket above its value? It happens in the porperty market, all airlines do it, it is simply supply and demand.

If you buy a ticket online, take some time out to read the terms & conditions that you agree to when completing the sale.
Or when you actually get your ticket, take a peek on the reverse side for these conditions.

It is not "simply supply and demand". The market price is set by the vendor. Anything else lies outside the remit of the terms and conditions of sale and nullifies legal protection for the purchasing party.
You'll also find that if caught scalping, the IRFU reserves full legal right to cancel said ticket allocation.
If you buy from supporters club for example, membership and tickets will be cancelled. If from a rugby club, the club can find itself in trouble.

Hi. Anyone been to an away game in Rome? How did you go about getting tickets?

This could potentially be the last time we play a Six Nations game in the eternal city with a move to bring the fixture closer to the bigger rugby community up north.

Any chance of getting easy tickets for the Flaminio in Feb?

Emailed IRFU; they said they haven't decided when exactly to release the tickets, but it will more than likely be September...

Would be very suprised if any AI tickets make public sale this te around given tne hype that will be surrounded with moving to Aviva Stadium (and if there are it maybe Samoa).

Your best bet would be to try your local province (if you are a season ticket here) the IRFU supporters club or your local RFC.

Prices are from €40 (schoolboys) and about €100 for the adults.

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators Posts: 6,743 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sheep Shagger

For Italy tickets try ticketnet (the Italian ticketmaster) although at this point you may have to buy as part of a 3 pack for their other home games.

If you don't want to do that there are always tkts on sale (face or less) outside the ground on match day .

I'm in the supporter's club, and hoping that a few will trickle down after the clubs have had their share - but not a huge chance of that happening I'd say...

If tickets for the Autumn Internationals get released to the IRFU Supporters Club, does anyone know what time of year they generally get made available on?

Based overseas, it's a real pain and expense to have to sort out all the travel at the last minute!

    Could be early September.

€100 a ticket, they can keep em as far as I am concerned, proof if ever it was needed that Aviva should never have been built with the capacity limitation it has.

You usually have to give an Italian address to get tickets this way. U could always try ebay - certainly worked for us 2 yrs ago, but it was bloody freezing in Rome that Feb -2c nightly

Just wondering if any international tickets will go on sale to the public or do you need to be a member of a rugby club?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,684 ✭✭✭JustinDee

Majority of tickets go to rugby clubs via the four provincial branches.
An allocation is also designated to the Irish Rugby Supporters Club.

If any returns from rugby clubs, they go to the Supporters Club's allocation.

A sale to the general public via the IRFU website would take place if Supporters Club tickets remained unsold with a week or two to go before the game took place.

    Any ideas are welcome :)

You're from France I assume? I'm afraid to say it will be basically impossible for you to get tickets from a legitimate Irish source.

    Yes, good guess :)
I am originally from France but living in Ireland since 3 years now. I would like to buy tickets for my family who will come over for this match.

If you want to go to the Samoa game, packages won't affect you.
    Two options for you really.
Rugby clubs will sell their allocation of tickets any way they wish, be that in singles, pairs or packages.
The Irish Rugby Supporters Club will also be selling tickets (to its members only) for the Guinness series. It has an allocation already and will also receive any unsold tickets from the club allocations.
For members, there are different combinations including one for just the Samoan game on its own.

I was advised by an official today that my best chance of getting a ticket for Munster vs Toulon would be from a tout outside Thomond Park on match day. How likely is that? I mean are there normally many HC tickets for sale from touts on the day and are they reliable i.e. not forgeries? While we're on the subject, any recommended places to stay near the stadium or railway station? Thanks. :D

    An official told you that???
Scalpers should be avoided at (quite literally) all costs. Ignore whoever this official was.

Clarion Suites is pretty close to the stadium.
Best places to stay are riverside in my opinion. The Clarion or the Savoy (formerly the Marriott). Not too far to walk to and from Thomond Park.

You also have the Kilmurry Lodge in Castletroy. They run a shuttle to the game for only €5 return. Room prices are pretty decent too. I stayed there this weekend just past for the Munster-Ospreys game. Also they have a buffet Irish breakfast in the mornings ;)
