Is it still socially acceptable to "sort it outside"

Yeah, I think this is the opposite of the manly display I'm hoping for. Funny idea though.

Twice I think, it was sorted sorta gentlemanly.

The first time I was stoned and said something obnoxious to my brothers friend. So he conned me into boxing with the pads and the gloves. I got winded for sure, but no harm done, and he felt better. An experience really.

The second time my TKD teacher was teaching us kicks. I missed the padded target he was holding at struck the poor man in the gonads. He dutifully waited till the end of the session then called for a sparring match. In which, naturally, he totally kicked my ass with a series of kicks that sent me back yards. The only thing injured was my pride though. Thank god for pads.

Its a perfectly good way to vent frustrations tbh. Just don't resort to savagery.
Wow... he was teaching you and you made a mistake so he physically beat you, being the stronger and more experienced by some distance?

You sure he was a TKD teacher not a Christian Brother? What an absolute ass...

As for the OP. Yeah you could take it outside lads or you could work it out like adults, inside.

    DeV.

I once heard one guy who was trying to start on another guy say "Let's take this outside". The funny thing is they were already both outside the front of the club in the smoking area. Couldn't help but chuckle at that.

You know, the tension; it hold his head to his body.

Anyway, the ceasefire didn't last forever. Bitchyness and insults were cleverly added into conversations which started off a little tamely, but its getting a little more obvious now. Love a couple of rounds in the ring!

It's the mutual friends that my sympathy goes out to.
Just think what's it like for them to be stuck in the middle of your neverending little cat-fight.

Your best bet is to have a go at him in a social environment,
preferably after alot of alcohol has been consumed.
Studies show that booze is a great aid to conlict resolution.

Start shouting things like "come on, do ya want yer go",
"I'll send you home in an ambulance", "I'll break yer face", etc, etc.

Also, make some lunging motions like your going for your man but instead
grab a hold of one of the mutul friends while shouting "hold me back".

Hopefully your carefully orchestrated insanity will intimidate your nemesis
and from that point on he will STFU and leave you alone.
Unless of course it all goes horribly wrong and he takes you up on your
offer and proceeds to bate the livin shlte out of ya.

The Coon I love it. It was a dirty slur after we'd all a fair bit on board that sparked it. The kind of one he was too afraid to say before and really meant it.

I did most of the above (it was a really nasty insult), friends held me back, he cacked himself. Period of "not talking" followed. For the sake of the rest of the lads I tried to move on. They are the real losers.

Anyway I'm counting to 100 most times I see him these days. Killing the weights as a result which is some positive.

I've seen lads kick lumps into each other and have total respect for each other afterwards.

This is easily my favourite line from the thread so far.
