Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi don't know if this is the right forum.. but anyway.
I have a 2GB Kodak SD card which I mostly use on my nikon D40x but have recently (last few months) been using it in my little fuji point and shoot camera, just because I had no other card for a while. So long story short, my card suddenly decided its not going to be recognised on either my laptop or my camera. And I have some important photos on the card. Any advice?

First thing: have you been formatting it when you change from camera A to camera B? That might be something. When I was trying to change cards from one Nikon camera to another one, I had to format the card, eventhough they are the same manufacturer.

From what I have read, camera manufacturers recommend formatting cards in the camera, and not on a PC/Mac.

When you say its not being recognised, what is the error?

On a PC, or a Mac?

Did you try reading it from a card reader, or straight from the camera with a USB cable?

    How old is the card?

You might try putting the card in camera A connecting the USB cable and connecting it to a PC, and if it doesn't work, try the same with camera B.

If not, you might have to look at some card/disk recovery tools..

    hope that helps,
    bernard
