BMW 320i - best deal

    Hi folks

Im looking for a BMW 320i convertible - new model.

Im just not sure what is a good deal now. Does anyone know what sort of price I should be paying for one of these now? Ideally I would like to buy from a dealer rather than privately so I know that will add a bit onto the price.

Also, is the UK import route a better option?

    Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

There is monumental money off the new shape Cabrio as the take up on them hasn't been great. I know of one Dealer giving 13k off the list of a new one - and to be honest, you could probably get a thousand or two more if you asked nicely.

They're popular in the UK, not so much here, so I would say with some conviction that if you pick up the phone to a few Dealers, mention what you want to buy, you could end up with a serious Irish bargain.

For the reasons above, it may not be. Also, if you UK import, and have a trade in, you will have the difficulty of selling your own car on - and at the moment, that's proving a mammoth task, even for small, cheap cars.

OP does it have to be brand new?

Here is a used 09 with low mileage:

Also one in Cork for €50k but with no photos:

OP - I'd be a little wary of the 320i, it seems that more engine problems are being reported than for the other variants: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136258&highlight=320i

I like these as well, but the one thing I'd make sure of is a cast iron warranty. If something went in that roof, I'd like to have some peace of mind with an approved used BMW warranty.

Not trying to hi-jack but if the OP or anyone else went down the UK import route for one of these, would his UK approved used car warranty be honoured by dealers over here? (Now that BMW Irl is part of BMW GB)

Thanks - not mad on the colour but price info is great.

I feel that they look better in the darker shades. The panel gaps where the roof splits in 3 don't seem as noticeable on the darker colours.

BMW again drops the ball with yet another engine problem. It's amazing that the brand remains untarnished by it's repeated engineering shortcomings.
