    Hi All

Does anyone know of anything different that's going on in the city for the June Bank Holiday weekend?

http://www.dublineventguide.com/ should have this weeks entry up by tomorrow. It's free events for the upcoming week and rocks!

At the end of last weeks, this is listed -
    GREYSTONES AMERICANA AND ROOTS WEEKEND
A free Americana style festival will take place in Greystones, Co. Wicklow over the upcoming bank holiday weekend (05-07 June). Artists include The Niall Toner Band, I Draw Slow, B and the Honeyboys, The Big Muddy, a Washboard Master-class from Wayne Waits from Portland, Oregon and much more including Bluegrass sessions two afternoons with full barbeque. This festival seems well worth a visit, so keep it in mind for next week! www.rootsweekend.com/

There's also a festival with bodytonic http://www.bodytonicmusic.com/events/ and there's a Toejam carboot sale in the Bernard Shaw on Sat and Smithfield Horse Market on Sunday. Oh, and free comedy and ice cream in Shebeen Chic (how do you spell that?) on Georges St at 9pm on Sundays.

I saw that Bloom tickets were €20/25 but I don't know what you get for that.

Hope you have a good weekend!

DLR Events presents 3 days of Outdoor Movies in the Park in the Peoples Park, Dun Laoghaire on Saturday June 5th, Sunday June 6th and Monday June 7th 2010.

Movies start at 3pm 5.30pm and 8.30pm daily. The series, which presents free screenings of popular classics and blockbuster movies, transforms the glorious Peoples Park into an outdoor cinema for the bank holiday weekend with an eclectic mix of animated movies, action adventures, popular comedies and all time favourites.

The backdrop for the giant movie screen will be the dramatic horizon of Dun Laoghaire harbour. Filmgoers can bring picnics and blankets for a great family day out. Popcorn and other treats will be available for purchase throughout the event and on Sunday, the hugely popular COCO Market will bring a delicious medley of ethnic fare and sweet and savoury cuisine.

All films are rated 15A or under.

Movie buffs, friends and families flocked to Outdoor Movies in the Park in 2008 and 2009 and enjoyed a great mix of movies from Madagascar to Some Like it Hot and Spiderman to Indiana Jones! The sun even seems to always make a guest appearance! Outdoor movies in the Park is now back by popular demand as part of the summer DLR Events programme.
