Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi Guys,
Decided to by a Tamron 17-50 for my D40x (as discussed here)
Tried it out at the weekend. From having read up before hand, I was worried about front/back focusing and motor noise. Managed to get some nice shots:

My problem was with some of the landscape shots, wide open (i.e. at 17mm) it wouldn't focus to infinity. If I zoomed in a little, then it was ok.
Just to note as well I was using single area focus mode (focusing on the center, for testing purposes I wanted to know what I was focusing on).

To me this seems to be a minor, but returnable flaw. Did some googling, but couldn't find anything.
    - has anyone seen this problem with this lens before?
    - do I have a faulty lens, or is this a "limitation"?
    - anything I'm missing or anything else I should try? (Battery was low so I changed it, no difference).

    Thanks!
